Well, this may have been one of our dumber weekends. We decided that for one of our 3-day weekends we should go and hike the Grampians National Park--only problem was it was 110 degrees. Julia from Germany came with us. We rented a cheap car, bought some expensive gas, and tried to drive on the left as we made our way into the park. The heat was a problem for Jess and Julia, but thanks to my genetic background I was able to climb all the way to the top of Mount Something-or-Other. That night we cooled off by checking out a Jazz Festival and eating tons of ice cream. On our way out the next day, we passed some indigenous Australian people who had a flat tire. “We should stop and help,” said Jessica. “Yes yes, it would be the right thing to do I think,” answered Julia from the back seat. So we pulled over and I opened my door. But surprise! Guess who said it was “too hot” outside! Guess who never even opened her door! Guess who never even cracked the window to give a word of encouragement! Well, all I can say is we know who the true altruist was in this group. :)
