Venice 2005
| In October, Sandy and I took a 10 day vacation to Italy. It was my first time to Europe. Things were expensive, people were well dressed, and gelati was everywhere. We didn't spend too much time in one place but did hit some of the big cities. Venice was the best with all the beautiful alleys and markets. Florence was good for the art, and Pisa was a one-attraction city. Rome is a great city but you need a month to enjoy it. Cinque Terra, a chain of 5 villages on the northwestern coast was unbelievable and we could have easily spent the whole time there. We got accidentally stranded in Amsterdam on the way back, but what can you do? Click on the thumbnails below to see pictures of each city. | ![]() |
